The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (MACM) at GTS is designed to help students develop the academic and professional competencies needed for Christian ministry and leadership in local and global settings. Our graduates typically serve as pastors, missionaries, and other leaders in a variety of settings. Students applying for a MACM must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited or officially recognized institution. Students must complete a minimum of 36 semester credits of coursework to receive the degree. Upon completion of the MACM program, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:
1. Demonstrate an advanced understanding of Christian ministry and the mission of God.
2. Demonstrate a broad understanding of biblical, theological, and missiological disciplines.
3. Demonstrate practical skills needed for ministry in the church and other ministry settings.
The Certificate of Christian Ministry is a personalized, short-term program designed for students who are pursuing a specific church or parachurch ministry or personal and spiritual enrichment. Students applying for the CCM must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited or officially recognized institution. Students must complete at least 18 semester credits of coursework to receive the certificate. Upon completion of the CCM program, students will achieve the following learning outcomes:
1. Demonstrate a basic understanding of Christian ministry and the mission of God.
2. Demonstrate foundational knowledge of biblical, theological, and missiological disciplines.
3. Demonstrate practical formations needed for ministry in the church and other settings.
Goel Theological Seminary is a religious educational institution operating in the State of Maryland pursuant to an exemption granted by the Maryland Higher Education Commission, without a certificate of approval from the Commission, as specified in the Code of Maryland Regulations 13B.02.04.
